Bar-K Board Meeting
Monday November 14th 2005
Location: Patrick and Dina Griffin’s residence: 929 Rock Lake Road
Call to Order: 7:20 pm.

Membership Report – 32 members for Aug 2005 – Aug 2006
Old Business:
Hydro seeding of Rock Lake continues to be investigated. Will Need Volunteer party in Spring
Pat Griffin to dig up last years "dues letter" to send out after Christmas party to former members of Association
Cary Bush and Tim Crean will continue to investigate possible sign replacement at entrance to Bar-K. Will need volunteers to install
Andee Graves reports newsletter about ready and should go out to residences shortly after Thanksgiving. Will need volunteers to deliver.
Tim Crean to develop BAR-K Association committee descriptions to be put in newsletter
Aerator pipes for Rock Lake are laid thanks to Fritz Koch and Jack Kustcher. Tim Crean to check with Fritz on when aerator itself will be fixed. Thanks to Fritz for his time and monetary contributions to getting this fixed.
New Business:
BAR-K 2005 Christmas party will be held Dec 11th from 1 – 5 pm at Joe Ryan and Martha Russo’s house at 1029 Rock Lake Road

Pat Griffin to contact Joe and Martha to see what help they need for set up and tear down, what decorations may be needed, if tables are needed, etc.Andee Graves will be reducing the amount of time she can spend on the newsletter due to family commitments (a new baby on the way!).
Board will be asking for new volunteers to help take up the slack on the newsletter, scheduled to come out in May
Buddy is interested in when/if the fuel mitigation project behind Rock Lake will take place by the Forest Service. Buddy has agreed to investigate and be an information link to the Board on this subject.
The Board would like an update from Chief of the LeftHand fire department on the re-imbursement program for private property mitigation. The Board is deciding whether to try and lead an effort to get homeowners in the Bar-K interested in doing something to improve our communities’ situation.
A note to be added to the newsletter to remind homeowners that now is the time to burn slash piles, and to contact the LHFD for a permit and assistance.
Mid January will be next meeting, due to holidays.
